Electronics Welding

Electronics welding covers a wide range of products and industries. As our world becomes more and more reliant on electronics, the creation and repair of such devices become equally important. Here at Sunstone we design and manufacture the electronics within our machines. We understand the needs, and requirements that your electronics application can bring. With a wide range of products to fit your needs, Sunstone welders have an electronics welding solution to help you.

Sunstone’s expertise within the micro-spot resistance welding sectors is extremely useful when welding electronics. Since precision and low-heat inputs are important, our single pulse welder line is most useful for welding electronics.

Complex electrical components can be welded with the help of different handpiece accessories. These accessories help facilitate welding on materials such as connectors, cables, boards, and switches.

Work With Confidence Knowing Our Reputation

Here at Sunstone, we have the privilege to work with and provide welding solutions to some of the largest and most successful companies around the world. Such as Apple, Samsung, IBM, Hewlett- Packard, Siemens, General Electric, Panasonic, and many more. Through our years of experience and work, we have developed and built the skills to help you with your application.

  • Micro Resistance - Dual Pulse CD Spot Welders

The dual pulse industrial capacitive discharge (CD) spot welder provides a substantially larger amount of weld energy combined with a finer range of power adjustment. As with Sunstone's other spot welders, the CDDP welders produces clean, strong welds. Pulse one heats the weld area to eliminate surface contaminants and seats the welding electrodes. Pulse two then makes a strong, secure weld. Both pulses occur within milli-seconds.

  • Linear DC

The Sunstone Linear DC welder is a completely unique resistance welding system with closed-loop feedback. Utilizing new patent pending technologies, the Linear DC welder has the power of a High-Frequency Inverter and the precision of a Linear DC. As mentioned, this is a completely unique product. It isn’t an HF welder since it does not require an external transformer, and it isn’t like typical Linear DC welders because it doesn’t use transistors to control the energy output. Yet, this product is able to perform the same functions as both of these technologies, and in most cases it has capabilities that exceed those of other HF or Linear DC welders – offering high repetition rates, fine low-energy control, and short or long weld times – without any of the drawbacks and inconveniences.

  • High Power - Micro Resistance - Advanced CD Spot Welder

Sunstone’s high power - advanced - dual pulse CD 1200 offers many capabilities including weld monitoring, SPC tools, and a large capacitive touch-screen interface. The touch-screen interface provides easy access to all weld parameters. In addition, you get a visual of the weld waveform graph, weld histograms, alarms, warnings, and even on-screen documents and videos. For automated production settings, the welder has multiple PLC protocols. You can also set up multiple machines in a simplified way thanks to the clone feature. Cloning allows you to copy all your parameters/settings and easily export/import them to other machines.
