Cannulas
The Easy Solution for Cannula Manufacturing
When you need to attach a cannula or metal luer-lock needle to a metal syringe, a Sunstone micro welder is just the right tool. You’ll be able to quickly create a strong, dependable hermetic seal where the cannula meets the luer-lock or syringe.
Precision Energy Control and Microscopic Delivery
When you need a tiny weld in just the right spot with just the right energy release schedule, a Sunstone micro welder can’t be beat. Digital energy discharge control allows you to dial in an exact amount of energy, to one-hundreth of a Ws. You can also control the weld’s wave form. Coupled with microscopic clarity and delivery, a Sunstone micro welder will help you save time and money in cannula manufacturing, hermetic seals, syringe cannulas, and luer-lock needles.

The welds in the video were performed with the LZR100 set at 0.7kw power, 0.5ms time, and 0.3mm spot size. Multiple welds were performed along the wire to ensure good hold strength. Adding a small gauge of fill wire to the weld site would allow for higher energy levels to be used and increase the strength of the joint while minimizing the chances of a blow-through.
