The lower electrode of the WH1125 is a custom copper grounding block for easier support of the coiled wires, but an 1/8″ copper electrode could be used as the lower electrode if desired. The upper electrode is 1/8″ copper with a flat tip. The size of the electrode tip can play a large role in the amount of energy used and energy distribution during the weld.
The CD320DPM2 was set to 200ws energy to perform the sample welds and the WH1125A was set to 15lb force. These settings also work well to join the two solid wires in a cross formation. The CD320DPM2 is able to quickly and easily attach the coiled wires to the solid wires.
