Filtration and Mesh
Build Any Filter Using Any Metal with Sunstone
The technological frontiers of every industry are expanding, and as an innovator, the design of your filters needs to keep up. A micro welder from Sunstone will help you fabricate the filters you have and design the filters you need to stay competitive. Precise control over energy volume and delivery will allow you to work with any metal of any thickness in a manual or automated production scheme.
Filtration Welding Applications from A to Z
Sunstone micro welders and fine spot welders are used worldwide and in thousands of different production processes: Expanded metal welding, faraday cages, filter basket welding, hermetic sealing, multi-layer filter design and production, and small filter assemblies. When it comes to filtration welding, let Sunstone help you find the right micro-welding solution.

Micro Resistance - AC Welder
AC resistance seam welders are used to complete AC resistance welds. These would include both spot welds and seam welds. Ideal for creating a continuous seam weld, foil welding, Pouch cell welding, and mesh or screen welding. The primary applications include the creation of hermetic seal with a pouch or package. Additionally, AC Resistance seam welders create and build filter assemblies, filter bodies, and attaching mesh screen to a strainer basket. Additional applications include filter baskets, battery cells, and any metal filter or screen.

Micro Resistance - Dual Pulse CD Spot Welders
Available models are CD200DP, CD400DP, CD600DP. The dual pulse industrial capacitive discharge (CD) spot welder provides a substantially larger amount of weld energy combined with a finer range of power adjustment. As with Sunstone's other spot welders, the CDDP welders produces clean, strong welds. Pulse one heats the weld area to eliminate surface contaminants and seats the welding electrodes. Pulse two then makes a strong, secure weld. Both pulses occur within milli-seconds.

Linear DC
The Sunstone Linear DC welder is a completely unique resistance welding system with closed-loop feedback. Utilizing new patent pending technologies, the Linear DC welder has the power of a High-Frequency Inverter and the precision of a Linear DC. As mentioned, this is a completely unique product. It isn’t an HF welder since it does not require an external transformer, and it isn’t like typical Linear DC welders because it doesn’t use transistors to control the energy output. Yet, this product is able to perform the same functions as both of these technologies, and in most cases it has capabilities that exceed those of other HF or Linear DC welders – offering high repetition rates, fine low-energy control, and short or long weld times – without any of the drawbacks and inconveniences.
